11 Actors Who Could Take The Role Of Spider-Man in The MCU

This past month, Sony and Marvel finally announced what all of us were expecting, Spider-man is going to be officially on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which means the whole franchise is being rebooted; Again. So, as much as we loved Andrew Garfield's performance, he will no longer be taking that role, and we need new blood to assume as Peter Parker in the coming films. I, therefore, made a little list with 11 young actors that would perfectly fit as our next Spidey.

Dylan Minette

Okay, so this is a highly impossible choice, since he has appeared before in the Marvel Universe, he was one of the 'gifted' people shown on Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. therefore I highly doubt he will even be considered for Spider-man. But, hey, it doesn't hurt to put his name out there! He has only 18 years old, so he's perfect for the young still in high school Peter Marvel is looking for.

Nat Wolff

20-year-old Nat Wolff is not new to the industry. He has been on the spotlight since a very young age starring Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band with his little brother, Alex. Since then he has been in great films such as Stuck In Love and The Fault In Our Stars, he's also going be starring in John Green's second book turn into film Paper Towns. He is a great actor is we will be seeing a whole lot more of him soon, making him a great choice for Spidey.

(x)

Jeremy Irvine

Now, Jeremy Irvine might be a long shot, specially since he's already 24 years old, and like I said before, they are looking for a younger actor. Yet, he still looks a lot younger than he is, and could possibly be a great Spider-man. I know, I know, he's British, but then again so is Andrew Garfield.

(x)

Ansel Elgort

Divergent and The Fault In Our Stars's Ansel Elgort already has a fan base, and would most likely would be a easy fit for Peter Parker. He is 20, turning 21 soon, and has proven to be a versatile actor, being is able to do from drama to comedy and also a bit of action.

(x)

Nick Robinson

Nick is definitely one of the least experienced actors in the list, but he seems to be building a solid career, taking in consideration he is going to be on big screen along side with Chris Pratt on Jurassic World. He is also only 19 years old, exactly what Marvel/Sony is looking for.

(x)

Dylan O'Brien

This is probably everyone's first choice when it comes to who should be the next Spidey. Dylan O'Brien has proven to be able to do comedy and action, seeing his work in The Internship, Teen Wolf and most recently Maze Runner. He is young and could take the role for many years to come, just like Marvel wants him to.

(x)

Jake T. Austin

Former Disney star, Jake T. Austin was always fun to watch in Wizards Of Waverly Place, and has since then matured and done more serious works such as The Fosters on ABC Family. He has only 20 years old, and I mean, look at this gif and tell he's not Spider-man material!

(x)

Freddie Highmore

This guy seems to be one of the most underrated actors of all time, he has given so many solid performances since he was a small child, that is incredible how he still hasn't blown up as a super star. He has also proven himself by starring along side with Vera Farmiga in A&E's Bates Motel.

(x)

Cody Allen Christian

Pretty Little Liars's Cody Christian, has definitely improved his performance as an actor in the last few years, and is easy to see that by watching PLL's first episode and now season 5's new episodes, he has also given his character a lot more layers and drawing attention in a show in which he "competes" with someone as amazing as Troian Bellisario. He's 19, so age-wise he's fine.

(x)

Taron Egerton

The eldest of this list of people, with only 25 years old, Taron Egerton will most likely not be Spider-man, but he could! I know, he's new and he's British (again, so is Andrew Garfield), but Kingsman's Succsess in not only due it's awesome story, he gives a great and solid performance in this film, and I'm sure we'll see more of him very soon.

(x)

Logan Lerman

Remember when I said Freddie Highmore was underrated? Oh, well joining him in that list is Whiplash's Miles Teller and our next name on this list, Logan Lerman. This kid is a extremely talented actor, he is able to do adventure (The Three Musketeers), action (Gamer), comedy (Stuck in Love) and even a heart-felt drama (The Perks Of Being A Wallflower). He has also being able to act and hold his space on screen working with such big names like Russell Crowe (Noah) and Brad Pitt (Fury). Not to mention he is able to hold a entire franchise on his shoulders, like he did with Percy Jackson, unfortunately the script and directing didn't help him at all, in a way the he was the only good thing on those films. He is 23 years old, but he still looks young enough to be a high-schooler Peter Parker, maybe a senior?

(x)

Rumour has it Dylan O'Brien has already been cast as Spider-man, but as for right now no official statement has been made by neither Marvel or Sony. Logan Lerman is still my first choice for Peter Parker, but I believe any of the actors mentioned above could easily fill in the role. Now, it's just seat and wait until the official actor chosen is revealed, and let's hope is on a after-credits scene on Age Of Ultron!
