Batman v Superman is Epic Yet Underwhelming

Image
I can safely say that this film is one of the most expected and hyped films in a while, with the obvious exception of ‘The Force Awakens’. For the last couple of years we have been watching teasers and trailers, as we waited patiently for the big day to come. The day we would be able to see the battle between two of the biggest (arguably the biggest) superheroes that ever existed. Oh, well, that day is finally upon us. After years of anticipation Warner Bros., and DC are finally realising their sequel to the highly controversial ‘Man of Steel’. In ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Clark Kent is joined by Bruce Wayne (and Diana Prince) in an attempt to expand it’s cinematic universe and leave their last film’s controversy behind once and for all. The films follows Batman and Superman, for 2 and a half hours, as they fight each other, for a total of 10 minutes. credit Now, don’t get me wrong here, I actually liked this movie and must admit I had fun watching it, at

One Direction's 'Made In The A.M.' Breakdown & Review

Image
credit Soooo, One Direction's highly anticipated album 'Made In The A.M.' is finally out! Now, this year has been quite rough on the One Direction fandom, from Zayn's departure earlier this year to the band announcing a break. However, none of this got in the way of the boys making a ridiculously good album. This is, in my opinion, the most different sounding album they've put out so far, and it's truly great. But let's get going into dissecting this record song by song. 1. Hey Angel This is the perfect song to start the album, it gives you a little preview of what the rest of the album is going to be like, making you even more excited to hear the rest of it. It's name makes you think this will be some sort of slow sad song, but it's not. It is a feel-good song with great lyrics and a happy rhythm. Harry's vocals on this song are particularly great, no wonder he's so proud of this one ! My favourite part of it is definitely Li

Your Ultimate Guide for Spending Halloween at the Cinemas

Image
It's halloween! Yayy! I went to the movies at lot this month, and consequently watched most of the halloween/horror films out right now, so, instead of making a bunch of post reviewing the movies individually, I thought it would be a good idea to just do one big post with mini reviews and if you should or not go see it this weekend! Note this is not all movies out in October, only the halloween themed ones. So, let's get on with it! Crimson Peak credit My biggest problem with it is that is not scary whilst it was obviously marketed as a horror film. Don't go in there expecting to see a scary film because that's not what you're gonna get. This is a gothic romance, and it's a good one actually, it's just not scary. This movie also has a lot of foreshadowing and I knew within 20 minutes of the movie what the 'big reveal' at the end would be. This film has amazing visuals and great acting. Perhaps, if they'd markets it correctly it would

Pan Movie Review

Oh, hey there my lovelies, it's been a while right? Sorry about that, I had plenty of problems these past few months but now things are getting better. I'll probably update here more often too, so let's do this! This has minor spoilers. Yesterday I found myself eating fro-yo at Go Greek and bored out of my mind after a long day of school, but then I remembered it was thursday; Not that thursday is that good of a day or anything, but it means it's almost friday and also it means new movies are out! So, I jumped on a bus and found myself on the Grove, and bought myself a ticket for Pan. Considering I hadn't checked the schedule, a 35 minute wait wasn't bad at all. Then as I'm about to walk into my screening I'm approached by this guy who claims to be friends with the screenwriter of the movie. And - God knows why - he starts telling me how his friend was very nervous about the premiere and worried about people's thoughts about the film. So, t

Hollywood and the Ever-Growing List of Awkward Interviews

Image
This past couple of weeks we've been seeing a series of really awkward and/or disrespectful interviews floating around. Starting with Cara Delevingne promoting 'Paper Towns' for Good Day Sacramento; then the Fantastic Four cast (minus Miles Teller) for Atlanta's Rock 100.5; Followed by One Direction's new single promo with The View; and finished with Miles Teller's cover story for Esquire. credit Cara was in a live stream with the hosts of Good Day Sacramento promoting her brand new movie 'Paper Towns', and after being asked if she had read the book she answered  sarcastically  " No, I never read the book or the script actually, I kind of winged it." And after that it just kind of went downhill. The hosts were somehow offended by her  answers  and even told her she seemed irritated and needed some Red Bull, and after that the interview was cut short the hosts kept bashing Cara live. Yikes... The deal with this whole situation was pure

Summer Movies Preview 2015

Image
April Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 23rd | trailer - This has got to be the most anticipated film of this summer - maybe even of this entire year. I’m personally extra excited about this, considering that I’m what you’d call a proper ‘Marvel fan-girl’. This can and most likely will be the biggest box office of the year, I reckon it may even pass the 2 billion dollars mark - finally - breaking Avatar’s and Titanic’s record. Plus a new Star Wars trailer will be attached to it, so yeah, it’ll bring even more people to see it on the cinemas. ( x ) May Hot Pursuit - 08th | trailer - I’m not even a little excited about this film, nothing in the trailers made me care. I don’t think this will be a big hit, but hey, we need a least one comedy during summer every year, so I guess it’s ok; I mean, at least it has a good cast, I really like both Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. If you’re into this kind of comedy I’m sure you’ll have a great time whilst watching it. Mad Max

Insurgent Review

*THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS* Okay, before I start I should do a little disclaimer because, I did not like Divergent at all when I first watched it. I disliked it so much it kind of made me mad, to me it was a easy 1/10. But I do think it was more of an experience problem than the movie itself; Since before I watched Divergent, I watched Captain America: Winter Soldier for the first time, and right after I finished Divergent I went to the cinema and watched Guardians Of The Galaxy. Those are two extremely good movies, they are both to me a 10/10, and that might have contributed to the fact that I disliked Divergent so much. After a while Divergent was on TV again, and I decided to watch it, so I realised I had been a bit harsh on the film. It is not the greatest film of all time, but it is also not the trash I remembered it being. It is average but it does deserve at least a 5.7/10. So in order to have a better experience with this sequel than I did with the first one, I decided to
